Title:
FIREPROOFING METHOD FOR WIRE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6412433
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To aim at increase in the velocity of forming a fireproof layer and also shortening of the time required for application by immersing a wire in a composition, in which a synthetic resin is dissipated into a quick-drying organic solvent, and a phenol-system flame retardant fiber, a metallic hydrate and a metallic borate are included in each specified proportion to the synthetic resin.

CONSTITUTION: A wire is immersed in a quick-drying fireproofing composition, in which a synthetic resin is dissipated into a quick-drying organic solvent, and per 100 parts of the synthetic resin are included 5W20 parts of a phenol- system flame retardant fiber for reinforcing a film, 50W300 parts of a metallic hydrate for giving the fire retardancy, and 20W50 parts of a metallic borate for strengthening the combustion residue of the film, so that a flame retardant layer is provided on the surface of the wire. Thereby, the time required for the application and drying of a coating material can be shortened.
