Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a client device update firmware with high reliability, even when memory capacity which temporarily stores the firmware is small.SOLUTION: A firmware update controller comprises: update information determination means 12 which determines the dividing size and the number of divisions of firmware as update information, on the basis of configuration information including usable capacity of the firmware temporary storage region 92a of a temporary storage section 92 transmitted from an image generation device 2; and update means 13 which sequentially transmits a plurality of divided firmware pieces via a Local Area Network LAN on the basis of the number of divisions and the dividing size determined by the update information determination means 12 so as to make a preset firmware updated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
