Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a convenient fish gathering material having great fish gathering power without a fear of pollution, by defatting and washing raw fish scales, deodorizing and drying the washed scales. CONSTITUTION:A fish gathering material consisting of defatted, washed, deodorized and dried raw fish scales. This scale fish gathering material is used alone or mixed with other scattering baits for use and preferably colored according to the object fish. The above-mentioned fish gathering material acts as follows when poured into the sea. (a) The fish scales have a low specific gravity of about 0.1 and absorb water in the sea to provide about the same specific gravity as that of the scattering baits, such as lobster. (b) In settling the scale fish gathering material in water, the material falls while reflecting light by the way of movement unique to the scales. The material emits light to shine at night in a manner unrecognized in other fish gathering materials. Fishes are regarded as gathering by this phenomenon. (c) Since this fish gathering material is passed through steps of sterilizing, washing and drying, it is characterized by cleanness, lightweight, no corrosion, etc.
