To provide a fishing float capable of being readily and rapidly exchanged without cutting a fishline.

The fishing float 14 is equipped with a float body 20 and a fitting shaft 21. A fishline is inserted into a fishline-inserting hole 23 of the fitting shaft 21. The fitting shaft 21 is inserted into or detached from a through hole 22 of the float body 20. The fitting shaft 21 is equipped with a fixing rib 26 and a projection 33. A recessed part 42 and an engaging recessed part 43 are provided in the interior of the float body 20. The fixing rib 26 is engaged with the recessed part 42 and the projection 33 is engaged with the engaging recessed part 43. The fixing rib 26 is fitted into the recessed part 42 and the projection 33 is fitted into the engaging recessed part 43 by rotating the fitting shaft 21.
