PURPOSE: To obtain a compact device which permits polishing for a fishing hook having an acute and smooth hook surface in a short time by constituting the fishing hook polishing device of a battery box, cathode member, fixing jig, electrolytic cell, and a wire connecting tool, and installing the cathode member and a fixing tool in demountable manner on a supporting arm.

CONSTITUTION: A ring-shaped cathode member 2 and a fixing jig 3 are installed, and the degree of screwing of an adjusting member 9 is adjusted so that the top edge of a fishing hook 7 is positioned at a height of +0.5 to -1.0mm for the ring shaped cathode member 2 when the fishing hook 7 is inserted, and the fishing hook 7 is insertion-set in a center hole 8. Then, the cathode member 2 is inserted into an electrolyte by lowering a supporting arm 6, and in this state, the wire connecting tools 5 and 5' are connected to the terminal part of the cathode member 2 and the basic edge part of the fishing hook 7. When a switch is turned ON, and a DC voltage is applied, electrolytic polishing is started, and polishing is completed in about 20-30sec. After the completion of polishing, the fishing hook is demounted, and washed with water.
