This fishing reel (10) is such as to be equipped with a reciprocation/vibration structure which has such a scheme that a guide (42) is provided with asymmetric guide groove holes (96) which produce two separate spool motion velocity systems when a spool (18) moves back and forth during rewinding a fishline on the reel; specifically, the guide groove holes (96), in a 2-cycle motion scheme, are constituted asymmetrically so as to produce one spool velocity profile in the forward direction and a different spool velocity profile in the backward direction; as a preferable embodiment, the two velocity profiles (asymmetry of the guide) are selected so as to be complementary to each other in a sense so that imperfectness of the unidirectional velocity function can be compensated to some extent during motion in the 2nd cycle.
