To provide a fishing rod equipped with a reel seat which has a good gripping and holding property, when a reel seat portion is gripped in a spinning reel-attached state and especially gives stable operability, when a lever brake type spinning reel is attached.
This spinning reel which has a reel leg-fixing device 3 that has a seat body 5 having a reel leg-mounting face 7 and a fixed hood 8 and a movable hood 10 oppositely disposed in the longitudinal direction of the reel leg-mounting face 7 for holding a reel leg, wherein the movable hood 10 can be fixed at an optional position in a longitudinal direction by the falling operation of a restraining lever 20, is characterized by disposing a contact portion 25 capable of being contacted with the inner surface of a thumb at the opposite side the reel leg-mounting face 7 of the seat body and a gripping portion 27 extended to the more rear side than the contact portion 25, and formed from a more flexible member than the contact portion 25 in a rear side-widened shape.
