Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a fishing rod, having high elasticity readily formable by winding and having a lightweight and high-strength tip top.
CONSTITUTION: This fishing rod is obtained by forming a fiber-reinforced prepreg consisting essentially of a unidirectionally doubled sheet impregnated with a synthetic resin into a body layer (10H) having the main fiber direction directed to the axial longitudinal direction, further mainly forming a sheetlike fiber- reinforced prepreg impregnated with the synthetic resin into reinforcing layers (10U) and (10S) having a smaller wall thickness than that of the body layer and a main fiber direction tilted at an angle within the range of 45±30° relatively to the axial longitudinal direction in at least either of the inside and outside of the body layer and joining at least the inside to the outside so as to arrange the tilted fiber in a crossing state.
