To provide a fishing wader improved in air permeability by employing a cloth having fibers directed toward the direction of thickness.

The fishing wader is composed of a boot 1 and a body 2 fixed to and integrally formed with the upper side of the boot 1, wherein the boot 1 is made of a flexible material having waterproof property. The face cloth of the body 2 is made of a waterproof material having moisture permeability such as a nylon fabric or the like and the body is turned down inside at the waist portion thereof to form a turndown 2a. The face cloth of the body 2 is backed by a body backing material 6, which is formed of a thin mesh cloth 9 of narrow fiber bunches and a cloth 10 having fibers directed toward the direction of thickness. The cloth 10 is composed of face and rear side nets 10a and 10b, which are respectively made of narrow fiber bunches and vertically spaced from each other, and fibers 11 of monofilaments are interposed curvedly between the face and rear side nets 10a and 10b in the direction of thickness.
