PURPOSE: To enable a cassette to be easily set by allowing a tongue to be automatically swung accompanied with the movement of a base plate in a device of a copying machine as referred to the titled.

CONSTITUTION: When a feed cassette 6 is exchanged, a base plate 10 is pulled toward you, then, both a stationary rack 5 and a pinion 13 are activated allowing a traveling rack 15 to move to the right. This causes a spring 16 to be contracted allowing an arm 17 to swing clockwise with center at a shaft 18. This permits a tongue 19 to swing to the same direction, accordingly, the state of being pressed on the part of a support 7 of a copying machine 6 is released permitting a form to separate from a feed roller 8. Subsequently, when a cassette which is fed with forms, is fitted allowing the base plate 10 to be inserted, each of sections starts operating reversely allowing the tongue 19 to raise up the support plate 7 of the cassette 6. This permits the form to be automatically pressed to the feed roller 8 with pressure. This configuration enables the cassette to be easily set.
