To provide an engagement fitting for a floor mat, by which the floor mat can easily be engaged and disengaged, and further excellent engagement effects can be obtained.
The engagement fitting 1 for a floor mat engages the floor mat 3 with a floor 2 in order to prevent a displacement of the floor mat 3 laid on the floor 2 in an automobile. The engagement fitting 1 is composed of a supporting plate 12 to be fixed to the floor 2 by means of an extending portion 13, and a ball 11 to be inserted into an engagement hole 31 of the floor mat 3. A tip end 14 of the ball 11 has an outside diameter slightly larger than the diameter of the engagement hole 31. When the ball 11 is inserted into the engagement hole 31, the outside diameter of the ball 11 contracts by the closure of a hook portion 141. After the insertion, the hook portion 141 returns to the original state.
