To provide a fitting ring 18 and a golf club 10 with the ring mounted thereon.
The dimension of the bottom part of the fitting ring 18 is determined so as to receive the upper end part of the hosel 14 of a head and to enclose it. The fitting ring 18 includes an annular edge part which is formed in the lower end part and chamferred or rounded. The hosel 14 and the fitting ring 18 are constituted for working in cooperation to prevent the movement of the fitting ring 18. It is preferable that projections on an inner surface in the upper part of the main body of the fitting ring 18 are utilized for placing a shaft 12 at a center inside the fitting ring 18 and increasing the flow of an adhesive among the shaft 12, the hosel 14 and the fitting ring 18. Preferably, ribs on the inner surface in the lower part of the fitting ring 18 are received by corresponding grooves formed on the outer surface in the upper part of the hosel 14. The ribs are utilized for arranging the fitting ring 18 on the hosel 14 of the club head and fixing it first.
