To provide a fitting structure of a contact member which exhibits excellent fitting workability when fitting the contact member to a base member.
In a contact member 50, contact pieces 52 extend respectively from both ends of a base 51, and a holding part 55 extends from the center. The base 51 is mounted on a top face 20a of a retaining part 20 of a base member 2 and is positioned by sandwiching it between a main wall 12 of an enclosure wall 11 and a stopper 25 of the retaining part 20. When the holding part 55 is pressed against the retaining part 20 after inserting the front end of the base 51 under a pressing part 14 provided on the main wall 12, a claw piece 58 formed at the rear end of the holding part 55 engages in a square hole 22 provided on a projection 21 of the retaining part 20 so that the contact member 50 is prevented from being detached. The fitting is easily completed by simply pressing down the holding part 55.
