Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fitting structure for a hood lock brace improving the assembling workability and capable of securing a wide space in an engine room.
SOLUTION: This hood lock brace 1 has a U-shaped cross section, and it is provided with a brace main body section 11 and a flange section 12. An inversion section 11a where the forming direction of the flange section 12 is inverted is provided at the intermediate section. Flange sections 12a, 12b protruded to the rear of a vehicle body are formed on the upper portion 11b of the inversion section 11a, and flange sections 12c, 12d protruded to the front of the vehicle body are formed on the lower portion 11c. The brace main body section 11 is provided with a bead section 11d including the inversion section 11a. A hole 13d is provided on a fold section 11e at the lower end of the hood lock brace 1, and a screw 42 is fastened from above to the nut 32 at the upper face section 31 of a front cross member 3 via the hole 13d.
