To provide fittings and a method for manufacturing the same, which facilitate manufacture and working, which decorate a front surface, a back surface and both lateral surfaces, and which hardly make those surfaces nonplanar.

The fittings include a front plate 20 which is fixed to the front surface of a supporting body 14, and a back plate 120 which is fixed to the back surface thereof; the front and back plates 20 and 120 include a base plate 22, and a decorative sheet 24 which is stuck on the surface of the base plate 22; the front plate 20 comprises a main surface portion 26 which forms the front surface, and lateral surface portions 30 which are continuously provided via corners on both the sides of the main surface portion 26; the back plate 120 comprises a main surface portion 126 which forms a back surface, and lateral surface portions which are continuously provided via the corners 120a on both the sides of the main surface portion 126; a leading end of the lateral surface portion 30 of the front plate 20 and that of the lateral surface portion 130 of the back plate 120 are formed in such a shape as to have an acute-angled cross section; the lateral surface portion 30 of the front plate 20 and the lateral surface portion 130 of the back plate 120 butt against each other in such a manner that the decorative sheets 24 of the surfaces are brought into contact with each other on the front side; and a space portion 40 is formed between the lateral surface portion and a stile 14 as the supporting body on the backside.
