Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a process for the production of a finished polyester yarn having remarkable dyed color difference along longitudinal direction, capable of freely adjusting the length of the shade region and enabling stable production of the yarn.
CONSTITUTION: A finished polyester yarn is produced by using a highly oriented undrawn polyester yarn as a stock yarn, partially heat-treating the yarn in longitudinal direction and successively subjecting the yarn to draw false-twisting treatment. In the above process, the heat-treatment is carried out under a tension of as low as ≤0.05g/d while intermittently separating exclusively a part of the contacting part of the yarn from the heater.
