Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an electromagnetic interference suppressor or the like, comprising a composite magnetic body containing a soft magnetic powder and an organic binder by covering the suppressor with a protective cover made of identical kind of material as that of the organic binder, thereby preventing the suppressor from being shifted at the time of mounting on an electronic device.
SOLUTION: An electromagnetic interference suppressor 1 fixed around a cable is constructed into a tube, by winding a sheet-like composite magnetic body 2. The composite magnetic body 2 is produced by kneading an Fe-Al-Si alloy powder, having an oxidation coating on the flat surface and an organic binder and molding the mixture into a sheet. A protective cover 10, which is made only of the same material as the organic binder of the electromagnetic interference suppressor 1 is formed by thermal deposition. The protective cover 10 comprises opposite end faces 11, 12 and an outer circumferential part 13 coupling the outer circumferential parts thereof. A thermoplastic elastomer may be employed as the material for the organic binder and the protective cover.
