Title:
FIXATION STRUCTURE FOR LIGHT EMITTING DIODE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001044511
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a useful fixation structure for a light emitting diode which replaces soldering.

Leads 5 of the light emitting diode 2, which are inserted into insertion holes 6 of a housing 1, are stuck at positions eccentric to the center of a harness 3 and electrically connected to the flanks of core conductors 3a. As compared with convertional structures where soldering to a printed board is performed, operation processes are made simple, no dedicated facilities are necessary, and components are inexpensive, thereby being advantageous in terms of cost. Especially, the arrangement position of the harness 3 is on the surface 1a side of the housing 1, so the lower side of the harness 3 need not be supported by a jig and operations are easier when the tip 7 of a lead 5 is stuck.
