Title:
FIXED-ANODE X-RAY TUBE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5873946
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a fixed-anode X-ray tube, which can radiate fan-like X-ray with an almost homogeneous intensity distribution even when the thickness of the gantry is decreased, by constituting said X-ray tube by placing an anode and a cathode in such a manner that they face to one another in the direction perpendicular to the center axis of a cylindrical encircling case.

CONSTITUTION: An anode 40 consists of a flat electron-impulse surface 41 and a metallic cylinder, which is provided on the back surface of the surface 41 and has a penetrating hollow space 42. It is supported at both longitudinal ends of a cylindrical encircling case 20 by means of supporting bodies 46 and 47, through metallic rings 22 and 23 which are similar to a metallic ring 34. The electron- impulse surface 41 is provided with a focus 43, which consists of a high-melting- point metallic layer, and located in such a manner that the surface 41 and a cathode 30 face to one another in the perpendicular direction to the center axis (O). A cylinder 44, the one end of which is closed, is positioned in the hollow space 42. It is provided with a number of small holes 47 directed around the back of the focus 43.
