Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate human error, to delete time and labor for determining dimension by manual work and to shorten time required for setting so as to improve the productivity by automating the work. SOLUTION: A front vice 3 and a rear vice 21 are provided with encoders 11, 29 which are position detection mechanisms, respectively, for position control. When a product is taken out from an end material W, a tip of the rear vice 21 is positioned at a desired cutting position, and the front vice 3 which clamps the end material W is fed in the opposite direction to the direction of a material feed and is fed up to an input value. The rear vice 21 clamps the end material W in this condition to perform cutting machining. Consequently, automatic positioning at fixed dimension can be done, the time required for the work can be shortened without demanding human labor, and the productivity can be improved.
