Abstract:
PURPOSE:To decrease the surface deflection of a magnetic disk by providing a spacer ring whose one side face opposed to a disk retainer is formed as a trimmed curved face between the disk and the disk retainer fixing it onto a hub. CONSTITUTION:In the constitution that one or plural magnetic disks are fitted to a hub to be driven, the spacer ring 21 whose one face opposed to the disk is formed as a plane and whose other side face toward the disk retainer is formed as a trimmed curved face is provided between the uppermost magnetic disk 11 and the annular disk retainer 22 depressing and fixing the disk against and to the hub 13. Thus, the surface deflection of the magnetic disk caused by the disk retainer is prevented to improve the floating performance of the magnetic head and the disk retainer is manufactured at low cost.
