Title:
FIXED-POINT CALIBRATING METHOD FOR NOBLE-METAL THERMOCOUPLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3412359
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bring the value of thermoelectromotive force at a point Pd set by a Pd wire, which is connected to the tips two thermocouple wires, close to a true value by coupling and fixing a plurality of flanges to the outer surface of a pipe, coupling a cap on the outer surface of the end part, and forming small divided spaces in a core pipe.
SOLUTION: A plurality of flanges 11 made of alumina are put on and fixed to outer surface of a pipe 10 made of alumina at a constant interval and fixed with an alumina cement. At the same time, a cap 5' made of alumina is fitted to the outer surface of the upper end part at a position separated from the flanges 11 by a specified distance and fixed with the alumina cement. Thus, a jig 12 is formed. Then, in an insulating pipe made of alumina in the pipe 10, a thermocouple 4, wherein thermocouple wires 2 comprising Pt-PtRh 13 are made is inserted to pass. A Pd wire 6 is connected to the tips of the thermocouple wires in a bridge shape as the temperature measuring contact point. Then, the jig 12 is inserted into a core pipe 1 made of alumina provided in an electric furnace together with the thermocouple 4, and the Pd wire 6 is inserted from the bottom of the core pipe 1 with a specified distance, and the fixed-point calibration is performed.
