Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixed polishing material product using a coating polishing material grain having high mechanical stability, chemical stability and polishing performance.SOLUTION: The fixed polishing material product has a core-shell structure containing: a matrix material; a polycrystal α-alumina core; and a shell layer overlapping to the polycrystal α-alumina core and including a polycrystal material selected from a group of a silicon oxide and a zirconium oxide. The fixed polishing material product further has a polishing grain embedded to the matrix material and the polycrystal α-alumina core includes crystal grains whose average grain size is 500 nm or less.
