PURPOSE: To improve the stratification of mixture in a low load region and heighten the dispersibility of mixture in a combustion chamber in a high load region so as to improve fuel consumption in the low load region and heighten the effect of improving output in the high load region.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture supply port 7 provided separately from intake ports 3, 4 is provided with an injector 25, and pressure air is supplied to this port 7 from an air pump 20. This pressure air is mixed with fuel, and this mixture is supplied to a combustion chamber 2 through a timing valve 15. In a device of such constitution, the mixture supply port 7 is provided with a throttle valve 26 for regulating the flow of pressure air, and the opening of this throttle valve 26 is controlled in such a way as to be small at the low load time and large at the high load time.
