Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve Corey-Kim oxidation of an alcohol.
SOLUTION: The reagent for oxidation reaction of an alcohol comprises a compound represented by the formula: P-X1-SR (I) (wherein P is a polymer residue; X1 is a spacer; R is H or CH3). The reagent reduces progress of adverse reaction and enables selective production of a carbonyl compound.
