An electromagnetic plunger pump 1 includes a suction valve 20, a discharge valve 27, a piston 25, and an electromagnetic plunger 35 connected to the piston. In the electromagnetic pump 1, a fixed quantity of stroke is given to the electromagnetic plunger to acquire a fixed output quantity per stroke quantity. The backflow valve 49 is disposed to a discharge passage 59 extended from the discharge valve to a discharge hole, the backflow valve 49 adopts a high-spring-constant spring to increase a valve close speed, and the valve is mechanically (forcibly) opened by using reciprocating motions of the electromagnetic plunger 35 through a push rod 40.
