Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a fixer bath having a necessary and sufficient fixing speed and producing no precipitate by incorporating a specified complex-forming agent in the fixing solution.
CONSTITUTION: The fixing solution contains a principal fixing agent and additives necessary for the fixing solution but no ammonium ion, and the complex-forming agent represented by formula I in which R indicates an H atom or a 1-10C alkyl, 1-10C hydroxyalkyl, 1-10C alkoxy-(1-10C)alkyl, carboxy-(1-10C)alkyl, dicarboxy-(1-10C)alkyl, or carboxy-hydroxy-(1-10C)alkyl group or the like; M indicates an H, Li, Na, or K atom; and (n) indicates an integer of 1-4.
