Abstract:
To provide a fixing device and an image forming apparatus provided with a heat roll in which fixing unevenness hardly occurs.
In the fixing device a heat roll is provided which is constituted so that a translucent elastic layer and a heat ray absorbing layer are formed on a translucent substrate and rotated by having a drive transmitting member engaged to it. In the above case, an engaging part of the drive transmitting member on an inner peripheral surface of the translucent substrate is provided with a shape preventing-related rotation of the drive transmitting member.
