To provide a fixing device and an image forming apparatus that improve durability by preventing belt skew and prevent image deviation due to belt meandering and generation of paper wrinkles.
In the fixing device 50, recording paper on which a toner image is transferred is passed through a nip section 59 formed between an endless fixing belt 51 supported by a plurality of rollers 511 and 512 and a pressure roller 52 pressing the surface of the fixing belt, or a nip section 59 formed between an endless first fixing belt 56 and an endless second fixing belt 57, so that the toner image is heated and pressed to be fixed in the recording paper. Anti-skew members 55 are provided at the both ends of the fixing belt 51, and a pulling means 53 which holds and pulls the anti-skew members 55 in the direction parallel to the roller axis is provided.
