To provide a fixing device capable of preventing a heater from being deprived of heat by members ensuring a nip (stay and pad), and preventing a part not in contact with a belt material from being heated, so as to transfer heat of the heater to the belt material at the maximum efficiency.
A fixing device includes: a pressure rotating body; an endless belt member that has flexibility, and runs in a predetermined direction to heat and fuse a toner image; a stationary member that is in pressure contact with the pressure rotating body with the belt member therebetween, and is fixedly provided on an inner peripheral surface side of the belt member so as to form a nip part with the pressure rotating body at which a recording material having a toner image on the surface is conveyed; and a reinforcement member that is fixedly provided on the inner peripheral surface side of the belt member to be in contact with the stationary member so as to reinforce the stationary member. The reinforcement member has an opening, and further a heat transfer member that covers the opening and is in contact with the belt member, and heating means that is provided between the reinforcement member and the heat transfer member.
