Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that can correct a curl in a medium to which a toner image is fixed with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A fixing device 70 comprises: a fixing part 70A that includes a heating member 71 and a pressure member 72 forming a first nip N1 with the heating member 71, and fixes a toner image to a medium S at the first nip N1; a conveying part 70B that is arranged on the downstream side of the fixing part 70A in a conveyance direction of the medium S, and conveys the medium S passing through the first nip N1 while sandwiching the medium at a second nip N2; and a correction part 70C that includes a rotating body 80 overlapped on a straight line connecting the first nip N1 and second nip N2 and a projection 82 extending from the outer periphery of the rotating body 80 in the radial direction of the rotating body 80, and directs a tip 82A of the projection 82 toward a convex surface side of the curled medium S, guides the medium S toward a concave surface side of the medium S with respect to the straight line to be nipped with the rotating body 80, and thereby corrects the curl in the medium S.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
