Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device being made possible to prevent from shifting to the temp. controlling regardless of being in a first stage discontinuity, and so as possible to prevent a thermal stress applied to a fixing heater, or an image forming device equipped with this fixing device by precisely detecting the initial stage discontinuity of heating means.
SOLUTION: This fixing device is allowed to integrate a difference between the target temp. and the detection temp. of a thermistor 5 at an arbitrary space stipulated over the stipulated time in order to judge whether the fixing heater 4 is in the first stage discontinuity. By the comparison result between the obtained integrated value and preliminarily decide reference value as a judgment reference, whether the fixing heater 4 is in the initial stage discontinuity or not, is detected by the result whether the fixing heater 4 is in the initial stage discontinuity or not.
