Abstract:
To provide a fixing device that can prevent heat deformation and melting of an internal component while achieving space-saving without complicating a component configuration.SOLUTION: A fixing device comprises: an endless fixing belt 60; a fixing belt holding member 51 that holds the fixing belt 60 at both ends; a pressure member 70 that is in contact with an outer peripheral surface of the fixing belt 60; a nip forming member 80 that is arranged inside the fixing belt 60 and in contact with the pressure member 70 with the fixing belt 60 therebetween to form a nip N; a nip support member 90 that supports the nip forming member 80; a heat source 61 that is arranged inside the fixing belt 60 and heats the fixing belt 60; a reflection member 91 that reflects radiant heat from the heat source 61; a side plate 52 that integrally fixes the fixing belt holding member 51 and nip support member 90; and a pressure mechanism that brings the pressure member 70 into pressure contact with the nip forming member 80 with the fixing belt 60 therebetween. The nip support member 90 is formed, as one body, of at least two members different in thermal conductivity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
