PURPOSE: To stably align, discharge and store a transfer material by setting an angle made by a straight line for connecting the centers of two pieces of rollers of a fixing device and a horizontal line, to ≤30°.

CONSTITUTION: In order that the rear end of paper 30 slips down on a slant face 34, dead weight of the paper, restoring force by stiffness of the paper and frictional force by the rear end of the paper work complicatedly, but on the slant face 34 of ≤30° from the vertical, the rear end moves smoothly. Accordingly, in order to satisfy this condition on the outside peripheral surface of two pieces of rollers 20, 21, it is necessary to set an angle θ to ≤30°. That is, a straight line for connecting the centers of a heat roller 20 and a pressure roller 21 is set to ≤30° from a horizontal line. In such a way, the rear end of the paper which is fed out passes through a roller abutting point, and thereafter, separated quickly from this point, and drops down to a prescribed position. In this case, it is not required to apply carrying force to the paper 30 from the outside.
