Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of a central ring, and to increase mechanical strength of an armrest installing part in a fixing device for a movable armrest.
SOLUTION: This fixing device for the movable armrest has a cylindrical support shaft 7 having a projecting lock member 16, and a housing 8 with a ring 24 of a plastic material for receiving the support shaft 7 fitted like a bayonet type mount. A strengthening member 9 for metallic reinforcement surrounds the ring 24 of the plastic material, cooperates over a certain angle with the lock member of the support shaft 7 by contacting, and prevents relative pivot motion between the support shaft 7 and the housing.
