Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a fixing device for optical fiber connection part which is surely fixed to the connection part or an optical fiber without a bad influence upon the transmission loss or the like and copes with dimensions of two kinds of reinforcing materials of a single-fiber optical fiber connection part and an optical fiber connection part for ribbon coated optical fiber.
CONSTITUTION: With respect to the fixing part for optical fiber connection part where connection parts 5a of an optical fiber 2a are grasped and fixed, holder members 6a to 6c are arranged in parallel in the fixing part to constitute the holder having the spaces between holder members as holding parts of optical fiber connection parts 5a, and holder members 6a to 6c are provided with plural tongue parts, which are opened to elastically press the optical fiber connection parts 5a to holder members of each other forming the holding parts of connection parts 5a at the time of inserting the optical fiber connection parts 5a, in series, and tongue parts near the holder members out of plural tongue parts are made longer than the other tongue parts provided on the outside, and inside or outside tongue parts are used in accordance with the diameter of optical fiber connection parts 5a to grasp the connection parts 5a.
