To provide a fixing device which can easily hold a thin and flat material such as poster, memo paper, document, cloth or the like to a surface without using a pin or an adhesive medium and make it possible to create a state where the poster, memo paper, document, cloth or the like is directly in contact with the surface.

This device serving as a fixing means to the surface has a fixing part, a bar-like member passing through the fixing part and a presser part which has a thickness equal to a distance between the surface and the bar-like member near both ends of the bar-like member. The bar-like member flexes by a pressure applied, in the surface direction, to the bar-like member passing through the fixing part, acting on a force generated when the fixing device is fixed to the surface. Further, because of a pressure applied, in the surface direction, also to the presser part near both ends of the bar-like member due to a repulsion force of the bar-like member which tends to restore itself to its original state, it is possible to fix the poster, memo paper, document, cloth or the like sandwiched between the presser part and the surface without using a medium such as pin or adhesive force. Besides, the poster, memo paper, document, cloth or the like sandwiched between the presser member and the surface are held in such a state that these materials themselves are brought into contact with the surface.
