Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load on a bearing of a fixation roller.SOLUTION: A fixation device 100 comprises a fixation roller 120, a pressure roller 130 for nipping a record sheet between the fixation roller 120 and itself, a heating member 110 in contact with the fixation roller 120 at the opposite side of the pressure roller 130 while sandwiching the fixation roller 120 between the pressure roller and itself, for heating the fixation roller 120, a lower arm 160 pressing the pressure roller 130 to the fixation roller 120 with first pressure force F1, an upper arm 150 pressing the heating member 110 to the fixation roller 120 with second pressure force F2, and a pair of bearings rotatably supporting both ends of the fixation roller 120. The fixation roller 120 has a driven gear 123 driven by a drive gear 124. Third pressure force F3 which is given from the drive gear 124 to the driven gear 123 contains a component in the reverse direction to resultant force F4 of the first pressure force F1 and the second pressure force F2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
