Abstract:
PURPOSE: To steadily carry out cleaning and to maintain a satisfactory fixing operation, in a fixing device provided with a cleaning means impregnated or coated with an offset prevention liquid.
CONSTITUTION: An endless cleaning belt 17 composed of a heat-resistant member is provided in contact with the surface of the heat roller 4 of a fixing means, which consists of the heat roller 4 for carrying paper P with an image of toner T thereon under the application of heat and a pressure roller 5 for carrying the paper while pressing the image carrier to the heat roller 4. The cleaning belt 17 is slid in synchronization with the rotation of the heat roller 4.
