Abstract:
To provide a fixation device having a configuration which allows a heat conduction member in contact with a heater to be stably brought into contact with a film.SOLUTION: A fixation device comprises: a rotatable cylindrical film; a slender plate-like heater having a first surface and a second surface on the opposite side of the first surface, the first surface being brought into contact with the inner surface of the film; and a heat conduction member, which is long in a longitudinal direction of the heater, in contact with the second surface of the heater. The fixation device heats a toner image by heat of the heater through the film to fix the toner image onto a recording material. The heat conduction member has an extension portion extending in a direction toward the first surface from the second surface of the heater on the outside of the upstream end portion of the heater in the rotation direction of the film. The extension portion protrudes from the first surface of the heater to the film side and comes in contact with the film.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14
