PURPOSE: To uniformize a temperature distribution in the axial direction of a fixing roller, in an extremely simple and inexpensive constitution, in a fixing device used for an image forming device.
CONSTITUTION: The fixing roller 12 rotated/driven by a driving mechanism not shown is cylindrically formed, and has a heating lamp 14 at the position of the axis of the fixing roller 12. Then, a pressure roller 13 is pressed to contact with the fixing roller 12. Further, a fin 17 generating an air current going in a direction (the arrow 16) so as to be opposed to the air current generated in such a manner that a fan for cooling the inside of a machine 15 is driven, accompanying with the rotation of the fixing roller 12, is provided inside the fixing roller 12. Since this constitution is adopted, the bias of the temperature distribution to the side of the fan 15 on the fixing roller 12, is suppressed accompanying with the driving of the fan 15, and the temperature distribution in the axial direction of the fixing roller 12 can be uniformized.
