Abstract:
To provide a fixing mechanism and a mechanical seal capable of suppressing separation of a screw member for fixing a sleeve to a rotating shaft.SOLUTION: A first annular member 110 includes an annular body portion 110A, an annular projecting portion 110B projecting from the body portion 110A toward an arrangement side of a sleeve, a first annular member-side mounting hole 112 formed on the body portion 110A to mount a second screw member 140, and a screw hole 113 formed on the annular projecting portion 110B to screw-fasten the first screw member 130. A second annular member 120 is mounted rotatably to the annular projecting portion 110B, and includes a through hole through which the first screw member 130 can pass, and a second annular member-side mounting hole 121 to which the second screw member 140 is mounted. In a state of fixing the first annular member 110 and the second annular member 120 by the second screw member 140, the through hole and the screw hole 113 are located at different positions in a circumferential direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
