Title:
FIXING METHOD AND FIXING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005279827
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To solve the problem that a conventional fixing method for setting up an optical member on a machining jig requires that a workpiece having a marking point at its geometrical center should be set up on the machining jig by visually confirming the location by the operator, therefore can cause the geometrical center of the workpiece to be sometimes misaligned from the center of the machining jig, results in a degraded finished form compared with a designed form, and makes a variation in set-up work depending on each operator.

There is provided a fixing device which has a holding section for mounting the machining jig at the center of the fixing device, three or more rotary arms having their rotation centers set at locations that are spaced the same distance away from the center of the fixing device and spaced the same interval away from each other, and workpiece abutting sections formed at distal ends of the rotary arms, respectively, for holding the workpiece thereon. Thus the rotary arms are driven by a transmission means for simultaneously transmitting power to all rotary shafts of the respective rotary arms until the workpiece abutting sections abut on a peripheral edge of the workpiece mounted on the machining jig, and thereafter the workpiece is fixed to the machining jig by a fixing means.
