Abstract:
PURPOSE: To greatly improve the durability of a silicone rubber roller by incorporating a specific antioxidant into a silicone oil.
CONSTITUTION: The sulfur antioxidant expressed by the following formula is incorporated at 0.001 to 10wt.% into the silicone oil: R1-S-R2, where R1 denotes an alkyl group or heterocycle; R2 denotes hydrogen, alkyl group or heterocycle. The antioxidant is brought into reaction with the generated radicals in this way to prevent the generation of the curing reaction of the silicone rubber, by which the durability of the fixing roller made of the silicone rubber is improved to 5 to 6 times the durability of the conventional fixing roller.
