To provide a peeling pawl unit of a fixing unit by which even a user can easily perform the maintenance of the fixing unit as well as a serviceman, a merit is found in the unitization of a fixing device and maintenance cost is made low.
By providing a peeling pawl unit 66 housing a peeling pawl 63 in the upper cover 61a of a unit housing, inserting the projections 67c before and behind the edges of the respective bosses 67a and 67b of the peeling pawl unit through the guide member 67d of the upper cover, pressing the projection on a rear side in an attaching direction at the time of completing the attachment of the peeling pawl unit and holding it on the upper guide by the use of a pressing energizing part 67e being the upper piece of the guide member, the user exchanges the respective peeling pawls without using a tool only by pulling- out operation in the anti-attaching direction of the peeling pawl unit or pushing-in operation in the attaching direction thereof with respect to the upper cover.
