PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate an accurate positioning of a fixing position with a tape measure by a method wherein a measuring section of the scale having its engaging section engaged with the tape measure engaging section can be extended without being interfered with an inner or outer communicating pipe passing through a wall opening section.
SOLUTION: An installing plate 1 is fixed to a wall surface 30 in such a way that a desired positional relation may be kept in respect to a wall opening action 22. In an accurate positioning of the installing plate 1, an engaging section 10 of a tape measure is engaged with an engaging hole 3 of a horizontal engaging section 2. Under this state, as a measuring section 11 of the tape measure is extended in a downward direction, a right end of the engaging hole 3 is placed at a more right side that the right end of the wall opening section 22 only by a width of the measuring section 11, so that the installing plate 1 is moved in a rightward or a leftward direction in such a way that a left side end edge of the extended measuring section 11 may be contacted with the right end of the wall opening 22. With such an arrangement as above, a position of the installing plate 1 in respect to the wall opening 22 is determined. The installing plate 1 in moved up and down in such a way that a contact point position between the measuring section 11 and the wall opening 22 may become a predetermined distance from the engaging hole 3 and a position setting of the installing plate 1 in a vertical direction can be determined in respect to the wall opening 22.
