Title:
FIXTURE OF ROPE LENGTH ADJUSTMENT FOR SKIPPING ROPE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0788210
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make length adjustment easily by installing punching means at each end of a rope, insering the pinching means through a hollow part which is formed in a grip part and reduces the diameter toward the tip, thereby reducing the diameter of the pinching means, and holding the rope end pinchedly.

CONSTITUTION: When a rope 12 is inserted through a grip 14 from an insert hole 18 and drawn toward the grip end 15, a pinching means 40 intrudes into a hollow 25 in a cylindrical member 26 together with the rope 12 and moves downward along the cylindrical member internal circumferential surface in the form of an inverted cone. Thereby the diameter of the pinching means 40 is reduced, and its base and the inside surface of a leg are put in pressure contact with the surface of the rope 12, and also a claw 48 at the bottom of the leg bites strongly into the rope 12. When the diametric reduction of the rope 12 and pinching means 40 maximizes, their relative movement in the axial direction with the cylindrical member 26 stops, so that the rope 12, pinching means 40, and cylindrical member 26 are brought to the insert hole 18 in a single piece if the rope 12 thereafter is pulled further strongly, where the location and fixation are ensured.
