Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a new DNA useful for obtaining the flagellin of a flagellar fiber.
CONSTITUTION: Flagellin gene DNA is originated from a bacterium belonging to the genus Bacillus of alkalophilic bacteria and has a restriction enzyme Hind III-recognizing site, a restriction enzyme Pst I-recognizing site, a restriction enzyme Ecor I-recognizing site, a restriction enzyme Acc I-recognizing site and a restriction enzyme Bgl II-recognizing site. For example, a DNA coding an amino acid sequence of the formula. The DNA is isolated from a microorganism (Bacillus C125 bacterium) belonging to the genus Bacillus of the alkalophilic bacteria.
