Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a flame arrestor which enables the preventing of backfire SURELY and quickly by speeding up the operation of a check valve in case of a backfire.
CONSTITUTION: A moving element 26 is provided in a case 20 where an inflow port 20a and an outflow port 20b of a fluid such as combustion gas or non-combustible gas are formed separately at both end parts thereof in such a manner as to move freely in the axial direction of the case 20 while a check valve 31 for closing the inflow port 20a is provided by being pressed onto the moving element 26 to be welded on the inflow port 20a. A check valve spring 35 is provided between the check-valve 31 and the moving element 26 to press the check valve 31 on the inflow port 20a and an energization spring 46 is provided between the moving element 26 and the internal wall of the case on the side of the outflow port to energize the moving element 26 to the side of the outflow port. This enables the speeding up of the operation of the check valve 31 with the energization spring 46 in case of a back fire thereby preventing the back fire surely.
