Abstract:
To detect flame with high accuracy using a method different from a determination with a circularity.SOLUTION: A flame detection apparatus includes: an acquisition unit that acquires a target image in which a monitored target is captured; an extraction unit that extracts a flame candidate region from the target image acquired by the acquisition unit; and a determination unit that calculates an index indicating a complexity of a shape in the flame candidate region by using a statistic amount of an angle forming a contour line connecting a pixel group constituting a contour of the flame candidate region, and determines whether or not flame is indicated in the flame candidate region based on the calculated index.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
